A Future Where Humanity Comes First

I Am Human Foundation works across Africa, Europe, and beyond, defending dignity, supporting vulnerable communities, and making basic human needs accessible to people who have been overlooked for too long.

Three fronts, one mission

Human rights are not defended in one place. They are defended where they are denied, and argued for where the decisions get made. That is why our work spans communities on the ground and the advocacy that surrounds them.

We are a young foundation, and we would rather tell you honestly where each region stands than claim results we have not earned. Projects in Ghana and Nigeria have been delivered and are documented in photographs and video. Europe is earlier, and labelled as such.

Africa

Delivered & ongoing

Working alongside local communities on clean water, education, healthcare access, women’s empowerment, and dignified living conditions, designed around what each community says it needs.

This is where most of the work has already happened: street distributions in Nima, Accra; water and supplies delivered to a school; and a training and empowerment programme for market women in Auchi, Edo North, run in collaboration with Senator Adams Oshiomhole. Community meetings continue year-round.

Ghana holds particular significance for this foundation. It is where our founder spoke up, and where she experienced first-hand how quickly rights can be set aside when it is convenient for someone in power.

Clean water access in communities without a reliable source.
School support and learning materials for children already in classrooms.
Healthcare access for people who currently have to choose between treatment and eating.
Training, capital, and a platform for market women and traders.
Legal support and monitoring where detention happens without due process.

Europe

Building

Building awareness, partnerships, and support networks that connect European communities to human-rights work, and stand with people facing discrimination and injustice.

Europe is where much of our fundraising, advocacy, and partnership-building happens. It is also a place where discrimination is real, and where standing with the people facing it matters just as much.

Global Advocacy

Ongoing

Speaking up against arbitrary detention and abuse of power wherever it happens, and insisting that accountability is not optional.

Advocacy is the part of our work with no borders. When someone is detained for speaking, the response should not depend on which country they happened to be standing in.
